Kalene DeHaut is an experienced licensed social worker and highly skilled communication specialist with expertise in community engagement, mental health, research coordination, patient education and advocacy. Ms. DeHaut is committed to improving health by supporting innovative and collaborative partnerships and marketing approaches that bridge the gap between research, policy, practice, and communities. Ms. DeHaut is currently the Recruitment and Community Relations Specialist with Kelly Government Solutions at the National Institute of Mental Health where she is responsible for developing and implementing engagement plans to generate referrals of research volunteers. Ms. DeHaut has also worked in the areas of child welfare, housing, and HIV/AIDS where she played a key role in building and managing programs that empowered the voices of consumers and patients within complex systems. Ms. DeHaut holds a B.A. in Social Work from The Catholic University of America and a Master of Social Work from The University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy & Practice.
